Anjuman Bashindgan-E-Bihar

Anjuman Bashindgan-E-Bihar (Mumbai) was established in the month of January 1978. In mid 1970 huge number of people from bihar migrated towards Mumbai in search of food & shelter. Most of them were very poor and illiterated. Thy worked here and there on a very low salary and on very lower post. There was no leader for those people. They cannot communicate and help each other due to lack of economic condition. At that time some very responsible and generous people thought we have to make a charitable trust to help the poor and needy people of Bihar in Mumbai.

They all decided the name of this Trust and registered it under Government (regd No. F.4916) in May 1978. Temporarily office was at the residence of Mr. Bashir Ahmed at Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road Mumbai-3. Then it made its own office at Bengali House Kamatipura. Now it is situated at Raja Bahadur Building, Maulana Azad road, Nagpada, Mumbai-8. Under the chairmanship of Hon-Gen Secretory Mr. Firoz Ahmed Shaikh(Librarian of Akbar Peerbhoy College) a constitution committee was formed. Senior joint secretory Mr. Shoukat Akhlaqui, Mr. Sabir Hussain and Mr. Iftekar Ahmed Khan(lecturer Bandra junior college) were the other members of the constitution committee.

 In Aug 2009 Anjuman Bashindgan-e-bihar took a step ahead by launching a new branch at dharavi, at 90 feet road under the presidence if Mr. Shah Alam Munshi.
